Its Not About Us

If you look around us during the holiday season, people are stressing and running around like crazy to get the last Christmas presents and food for the holiday dinner. I think most people actually forget the real reason that we are celebrating Christmas. Are we really celebrating it because we get gifts from our family and friends? Is it because we get off of school for 2 weeks? Or maybe is it because we get to spend time with our family that we only see at Christmas time? No! None of those reasons are why we really celebrate Christmas. Two thousand years ago a little baby was born in a small town in a stable. He was the King! That is why we celebrate Christmas. We need to remember the real reason behind it is remembering when Jesus was born to Mary. So next time you're ready to freak out because you don't have someone's gift, just take a deep breath and remember the real reason that we are celebrating Christmas.
